It really is unfortunate this played this way, this situation only served as a catalyst for Ussop feelings and lack confidence to break him. Man feels so useless and he was the most attached to the Merry. Alot things were said that should have not have been said, like Luffy should just told the truth instead trying to sugar coat at the start, Ussop saying hurtful things that weren't true.....both being so hardhead, even tho i know Ussop was mostly in the wrong I won't hold this against him

i really wish this episode actually had lasting changes for usop and afterwords he became one of the stronger members of the crew but sadly memes aside after this arc he just becomes more useless due to the introduction of a new crew member that takes on his role as a mechanic. seriously it would not be hard to give usop some powerfull sniping ability to make him one of the stronger crew members.

This argument wasn’t just about the ship,
it was about usopp seeing himself as the ship, he felt responsible for what happened with the money on top of that his insecurities of being a burden in the crew and feeling weak and also the fear of being abandon led towards this outcome😭and Luffy felt kinda betrayed because he would never think of usopp as a burden and someone who is weak so that was very heartbreaking 🥺Usopp was very brave to challenge the captain in a fight I just admire their friendship alot❤️‍🩹loved this episode and how it was portrayed…. I think I’m crying 😭😭damn onion ninjas
